Peter Cumbers, Sales Director at Joice and Hill to Retire
After a long and successful career in sales within the UK poultry industry, Peter has decided to retire, anticipating a finish date of end of the year or early in 2027.
Peter started his career with Deans, before moving to ISA Poultry Services at Peterborough where he started his role in sales. A brief spell at Potters led Peter to a position with Joice and Hill in 2003, and he was appointed Sales Director in 2008. Under his watch, sales have grown from three million day old chicks in 2003 to 15 million in 2025, while the sector has seen considerable change.
Well known across the sector for his experience, cheerful personality, and for his love of Chelsea Football Club and Formula One, Peter will be missed by colleagues and customers alike!
He is now looking forward to a long and happy retirement which will feature numerous trips to his favourite overseas locations, as well as exploring new cities and countries with his lovely wife Anne-Marie. He assures us that his famous Facebook hotel room tv size posts will continue in his retirement.
We would like to thank Peter for all his hard work and guidance in the development of Joice and Hill and the establishment of our great layer breeds as benchmarks in modern egg production.
