Simon Bowden appointed new Sales Director at Joice and Hill
Joice and Hill have just announced that Simon Bowden, currently Area Technical Sales Manager for Mid-West & Wales, will take over from Peter Cumbers as Sales Director, later this year.
Simon joined Joice and Hill in 2022 from Potters Poultry, where he was involved with pullet sales, technical service, and aftercare.
Speaking about the appointment MD Nick Bailey said “I am confident Simon will be a popular choice amongst customers and colleagues alike. The continuity he will offer is invaluable in a sector that regularly throws up unexpected challenges”
From the age of 12, Simon regularly worked after school for G&K Craddock & Son who were a contract rearer for Lloyds. After leaving school he went to Sparsholt College, near Winchester, gaining a degree in Aquaculture and Fishery Management. Immediately after graduating Simon worked as a freelance for his parents and for Craddocks, before travelling and working in Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
When he returned to the UK Simon went back to his farming and poultry roots, re-joining Craddocks, and eventually progressing to managing a 240,000-bird site, before leaving to join Potters.
Speaking about his new role Simon commented “Whatever challenges lie ahead, the combination of proven birds, a great sales team and technical back up at the hatchery makes me confident we can continue to grow our market share”
