Welcome to Maurice Salmond

Maurice will be taking over as Area Technical Sales Manager Scotland and North West England on October 17th

Maurice has been in the poultry industry for 45 years, and he has worked with many notable poultry companies in Scotland, including Ross Breeders, DB. Marshalls, Ross Poultry/Poultry First, Daylay/Noble Foods, in roles from shedman , assistant farm manager, farm manager, area manager, regional manager to senior area manager.

“I am really looking forward to joining Joice & Hill so I can do what I really enjoy, which is being face to face with producers, sharing my experience, advising and helping to get the best results from the excellent Hendrix Genetics breeds” he says

Maurice has extensive commercial egg production experience, as well as with broiler breeders, laying and rearing farms, grandparent/parent laying and rearing, vaccine eggs, and commercial rearing.

Married to Catherine for 40 years with 4 children and 6 grandchildren, Maurice also enjoys gardening, going to the pub with friends, playing snooker or pool, and holidays. If that isn’t enough, he recently set up a tropical fish tank, which he says isn’t as easy as he thought!
