Success in Scotland!

Hendrix breeds won TWO awards at the Scottish Egg Quality Awards this year.
Joice and Hill were part sponsors of the 2019 Scottish Egg Quality Awards presentation dinner which was held at Murrayshall House Hotel, Scone, Perthshire on 16th May 2019.

We were delighted that Hendrix Genetics breeds featured in two awards.

Gosford Organics was the Outstanding and Group Winner of the Organic Egg Category. The eggs which were presented for judging came from a flock of Shaver Brown birds.

Gordon Whiteford of Highland Eggs was the Outstanding and Group Winner of the Niche Egg Category. The eggs which were presented for judging came from a flock of Dekalb White birds.

This was the first year that the niche egg category had been introduced to the Scottish Egg Quality Awards and the winner was presented with the Margaret Drummond Cup.

The niche egg category was introduced to expand the scope of the competition and allow producers of white eggs, coloured eggs, duck eggs, quail eggs and double yolkers to take part.
