The Winston Westcott Memorial Trophy

After a lifetime in farming and poultry, Winston was well known to many people in the UK poultry sector.

Sadly, Winston, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Somerset, on Wednesday the 14th of April 2021. We were moved to hear that the West Country Layers Association (WCLA) have had a trophy made in memory of Winston.

WCLA will arrange an annual quiz night and award the trophy to the winning team.

Peter Cumbers of Joice and Hill is pictured (below) with the trophy, after the first running of the quiz, alongside the winning team ‘One Flew Over the Chickens Nest’ and team members Roger and Andrea Down of Brown Egg Farmer, Andrew Marriage, Adam Palfrey and Lucas Kitteridge of Appledore Farm Eggs (above).
