Joice and Hill Hatchery Achieves A Reduction In GHG Emissions Of Nearly 8% During A Period Of Sales Growth

Joice and Hill have reported an absolute reduction in GHG emissions of nearly 8% during a period of strong sales success.

A growth in chick sales naturally leads to more activity, more vehicle miles, delivering more chicks. However, despite these factors, our impressive reduction in emissions equates to a reduction of nearly 17% per chick.

This significant progress in mitigating Scope 1 and 2 emissions at the hatchery is the result of our investments in renewable energy production and the electrification of the company fleet.

Ensuring like-for-like comparisons, Eggbase provided the reporting and analysis of both 2020 baseline and 2024 calculations.
