Fact finding about the the world’s most productive egg layer.

A group of UK egg producers and pullet rearers gathered at Hendrix Genetics HQ in Boxmeer last week, to fact find about the Dekalb White – the world’s most productive egg layer.

Arranged by Joice and Hill and accompanied by Simon Bowden and Peter Cumbers were delegates from Lloyds / CFP, Fane Valley Feed and Heals Eggs.

After informative presentations from Hans van Sleeuwen and Teun van de Braak including “the genetic program for Bovans Brown and Dekalb” and “how to manage layers in cage free systems” there were visits to the award winning Kipster Farm, and animal-friendly poultry systems specialist, Vencomatic.

After what was universally accepted as a valuable trip, the delegates gathered for the now traditional photograph, outside Hendrix Genetics HQ in Boxmeer.
